August 2020

A new workshop was launched at the beginning of the year, the Gewista Creative Workshop. The aim of this workshop was to more efficiently use the potential of all advertising media in the Out Of Home category, both analog and digital, to better create and implement campaigns successfully.

Creativity and Innovation.
The outdoor advertising market is constantly growing and is characterized by a variety of innovative possibilities. Therefore, the aim of this workshop is to give creative minds an understanding of the broad potential of our OOH advertising media. An additional benefit of the Gewista Creative Workshop is to find out which innovations are truly up to date and which new creative solutions can be implemented in the Out Of Home, both analog and digital.

The creative agency DDB participated in the first workshop, which generated diverse and multi media ideas with enthusiasm and creativity. Participants gained fresh insights into the world of outdoor advertising and created innovative OOH solutions. Andreas Spielvogel, CCO of DDB Vienna, said about the successful workshop, "Approaching the topic of outdoor advertising in a playful way and using surprising image connotations to brainstorm and spark fresh concepts, which lead to previously un thought of ideas, was an exciting experiment that demonstrates how much innovation there can be in outdoor advertising."

After the successful beginning, the project continu ed in August with the creative agency OBSCURA. During the workshop, participants again immersed themselves in the world of Out Of Home and developed creative and innovative ideas for use on our analog and digital advertising media platforms. "Creative implementations get people out of their everyday rut and entice them into the spell of the brand and as well as the promise of the brand. Through this exchange with Gewista we have come up with innovative possibilities to position the brand messages of our cus tomers with fresh, memorable impact," says Philipp Hörmann, Creative Director at OBSCURA.

In the near future, this workshop series will be conducted with more agencies to make the topic of outdoor advertising and the corresponding creative and innovative OOH advertising possibilities more tangible.
